This program is the focal point of the company's new-hire pilot indoctrination course. It fulfills the requirements of 14
CFR Parts 121 and 135, which mandates CRM training. It also includes all of the topical content of AC 120-51B Crew Resource
Management Training. The course is tailored for each carrier's Human Factors model and individualized to address the culture
and procedures of the contracting airline or flight department. This instruction is accomplished primarily in a classroom
setting.
CAPTAIN UPGRADE:
A Leadership and Human Factors course for first-time captains. Some topics are: Authority, Responsibility, and Accountability;
Automation Management; Briefings; Conflict Management; Critiques And Debriefs; Decision-Making; Error Management; Fatigue
Management; Leadership Styles; Passenger Issues; Resource Management; Risk Management; Situation Awareness; Stress Management;
Teaching Role Of The Captain. This instruction is accomplished primarily in a classroom setting.
LINE-ORIENTED FLIGHT TRAINING (LOFT):
LOFT simulation provides an opportunity to experience normal, abnormal, and emergency situations of commercial aviation.
The course affirms the operational experiences of professional pilots who have advanced technical training and proficiency.
LOFT emphasizes the business aspects of commercial aviation where missions are patterned after real-world flights, with realistic
problem-solving scenarios. This instruction is accomplished primarily in a simulator.
LOFT/LOE/SPOT DEVELOPMENT:
A course for developers and managers who must produce viable, real-world LOFTs, LOEs, and SPOTs. The course covers all aspects
of LOFT, LOE, and SPOT development from FAA requirements to actual practice in creating scenarios and event sets. The course
includes practical issues such as guidelines, timelines, quality assurance, paperwork, simulator validation, FAA approval
process, briefing videos, briefing guides, briefing posters, instructor materials and learning assessments. This instruction
is accomplished primarily in a classroom setting with several simulator periods for validation.
